Behind the lens

I see myself as a visual storyteller. Life is an immersive experience and I developed the skill to see and capture the photo stories that want to be told and hold the attention.

I’m insatiably curious and willing to experiment with various techniques until I get the wow factor. I am not about the status quo or harsh spotlights and a staged look, it has to be real and authentic.

My first images were developed from photo film in the darkroom over 2 decades ago.  Our adventurous lifestyle led me to landscape and nature photography, where I spent hours on sand dunes in Namibia, or beaches and forests in South Africa. One of my mentors, Nicole Palmer introduced me to the fine art of macro photography, where I found my niche. Patience and fine observation skills are required to capture all the delicate details at a macro level.

I am pleased to now offer my photography skills to clients who need to build a dynamic media presence through their photo portfolios. I love my job!
