Slow Dance With Time.

The golden, ochre and orange hues of the deeply eroded sandstone, gives a dramatic snapshot of time dripping away..  Beautifully exposed are the bands of silt and mud laid down when the area was a floodplain 200 million years ago. Then time and wind eroded away, what is now Mushroom Rock with its Dripping Wall, through a desert era, wind era, heat era.. The Lichen Valley, Bosbok Kloof & Riverines with its many caves were home to the San people, once… 

Blue, blue sky caressing the intense colours of the Maluti mountains, while wind plays in the grass at Golden Gate National Park

Grains of sand, washed with water, blown by wind, melted through heat, shaped by time. Used as shelter and home to an ancient people, who knew the heartbeat of this world, who lived whole and connected.

My soul waits and wants. 

Mostly my soul wants… 

But here, I allow myself to feel my heart beating rhythmically to an ancients beat

– And it’s good…it’s very good

Here I discover that life is a slow dance between waiting and wanting.
